Time to get off the pity pot

Being angry at WordPress for being complex and unclear has not been a good look for me. I am writing this blog with the intent to connect the world doesn’t need me to be a negative Mary.

  1. The majority of the population is not dyslexic.
  2. It is important to maintain and build strengths.
  3. I enjoy writing and reading and I want to enjoy reading my own posts.
  4. If I cannot be an inspiration I can at least do my best to hold my own and realize ultimately I am the mover and shaker in my own life.
  5. I enjoy doing art and resolve not to beat myself up if my art does not measure up to my own expectations or that of others.

I just renewed my Forever Artzone.com site hopefully with renewal I will interest new readers.  I really enjoy the fellowship of bloggers and artist /fellow creatives and the audience that enjoys sharing observations and aquired knowelge.

I do not enjoy living in a vacumn I am not happy being a fallen tree I also want to feel heard. Let me know if you found me I need to find my muse?

This April in Blogging U.: The Return of Writing 101!

I defintly need hep mustering enthusiasm for writing my blog on the regular!

The WordPress.com Blog

This April, we’ll be offering Writing 101: Building a Blogging Habit. Writing 101 is a write-every-day challenge designed to help you create a writing habit and push you as a writer, while publishing posts that mesh with your blog’s focus.

What is Writing 101?

Writing 101 is a four-week course that runs from Monday, April 6, to Friday, May 1, 2015. Each weekday, you’ll get an assignment that includes a writing prompt and an optional “twist”; prompts are your topic inspiration for the day, while twists push you to experiment with writing techniques and tools.

Who else is really building their writing habit?… I wake up multiple times each night to check the time and see if it’s time to get up and write because I’m so excited. I’ve never felt this way before! I think I’m in lurve.

Brave But Completely Unprepared!

Write about your strongest memory of heart-pounding belly-twisting nervousness: what caused the adrenaline? Was it justified? How did you respond?

It was suggested that I quickly run for an office of Secretary in the AFSCME Union I agreed. I was not nervous, I casually walked up to speak I carried a piece of paper which spoke about me in glowing terms. The problem was the glowing terms were written to be left on the table for interested voters to read. I had been so pleased with the high praise that I must have felt nothing could go wrong. That was until I looked at the Union Members, all waiting for a poised confident speech.  The members looked disgruntled I had not realized what the faces of the opposition might look like. They looked like a New York crowd waiting for entertainment, not only did they expect to be wowed by me but they expected a prepared speaker something, I was not. I felt like I was going to perish I mumbled a few words trailing off with” we need new blood!”

The younger fiercer me!
The younger fiercer me!

I asked members in my corner why they did not help me out or ask me a question. They gently told me they could not think of anything to ask the terrified me. Oddly I heard the opposition repeating my only contribution ” we need new blood”!

Years later, while listing to an educational channel the topic was” How to speak confidently by practicing ones speach”.  I had a very dry ah ha moment.
I did attempt to speak again for a business writing class I used humour. I was comfortable , invincible, entertaining! I   heard the laughs, and was in my element this was so easy! There was one problem, I did not remember one word that I said. Not one sylable, nada, zero nothing ?
